Remember this post when I said I was going to try one new recipe a week from the hoards of recipe clippings I own? Well be impressed because I actually did the first new recipe last Sunday (I just forgot to blog about it until now…).
I narrowed it down to three recipes and let PartyDog pick the winner. He decided to go with Thai Chicken Soup. I tore this recipe out of a Food Network magazine a while back because the picture looked reallllly good. The bad part with picking things based on the picture is that often times there are ingredients in the recipe you don’t like. Curry, for example.
Have I ever liked curry? No. The mere smell or even thought it throws me into a fit of rage. For some reason though I justified spending the $5.00 on the curry paste to make this recipe. Turns out the second my apartment started reeking of the stuff, I
jumped out the window knew I had made a bad, bad decision.
In all fairness, the recipe was really easy and PartyDog enjoyed it, though he only gave it a 6 on a scale of 1-10. So if you like curry, this one is full of it and might be for you, if you throw up from even the thought of it like myself, this is so not for you. [I didn't post the recipe since there was direct link to the recipe on Food Network website.]
So on Kelsey’s Scale of Tastiness this gets a 2.
Lessons learned: 1.) I seriously hate curry as much as I thought I did. 2.) Never let PartyDog pick the recipe.
That’s all the nonsense I have for now!
What’s for dinner tonight??
