Sicky Face

If you can somehow imagine it, I am horrible at being sick.  You know how when you’re sick, you are supposed to rest and give your body a break? Yeah, I don’t know how to do that.

Lay on the couch all day? When I could be doing laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning or cooking?

Lay in bed and sleep all day?  Why would I do that when I can make myself homemade chicken noodle soup?

And that my friends, is how you too can prolong your sickness from 5 days to 2 weeks!  In my defense, I did call in sick on Thursday (after I attempted to go into work and only lasted 2 hours) and I DID actually lay on the couch and read all day.  One day of complete rest is enough right?

I know nothing, don’t listen to me. Ever. And don’t come anywhere near me right now.  Sorry coworkers….

That’s all the nonsense I have for now!

Have you gotten sick yet this winter??

I mean…let’s be real. Nothing tastes better when you’re sick than chicken noodle soup, and homemade chicken noodle > canned chicken noodle any day. I think you can get away with that one.

I had a bit of a cold at the very beginning of the year, but I still went to work because I am totally *that* coworker who has to be knocking on death’s door to call in sick. I’m terrible.

I was sick briefly this winter, but it didn’t last too long. As soon as I start feeling like I could be getting sick, I deluge my body with Vitamin C, warm chicken soup, no beer :( , lots of sleep, and Netflix marathons. It’s worked well this winter!

I get way too fidgety to be sick. Seriously feel ya on that one. Luckily, I only really get taken down once every 3-4 years. According to the calendar, my time is up. So any day now… good thing I’ve got a few books I need to read and DVR to catch up on at some point when illness bitch slaps me.

Aww, you poor thing. At least making the soup was aiding in your sickness.

I have avoided getting sick this winter. I tend to only get sick when my NYC bestie brings her toddler over. LOL.

Hope you’re back to 100% soon!

Boo sickness. I am still sick. Thinking about trying to convince someone at work to give me a strep test… not exactly sure if I can get checked at the community health clinic I work at…. hmmmm. Might be easier to go to a minute clinic at CVS
