The weather in Chicago has been beautiful lately. It’s hard to believe it’s July and I still need long sleeves! Which means that it is perfect running weather.
I know I’ve mentioned before I’ve been running Garmin-less for my runs but it has seriously helped me connect to my runs better. No longer am I constantly looking at my pace every three seconds, but instead enjoying the actual run and scenes around me. Before I go for a run, I get a fairly good idea of what 3-4 miles is and go somewhere along the route. Not worrying about distance, time or pace is such a great feeling…of course sometimes I still want to know what my pace is and for those runs, I throw the ole Garmin on.
Anyhoot, on to pictures! First up, my favorite legs in Chicago:
A pretty fountain:
Yoga in the park:
I went for a run this morning actually (which was not fun considering I never run at 6:30 AM) and found these cool chia heads all over Michigan Ave (defiantly not called chia heads, they were promoting urban gardens or something but whatever, they look like chia heads to me):
And of course my busted attempt at a bean selfie:
I’m so artsy.
That’s all the nonsense I have for now!
Seen anything cool (or weird!) on your runs lately??
