A Little Late…

Nothing like talking about Christmas over a week later and in an entirely different year….. This post may be a little late but I do want to share with you some of the fun gifts I got this year! Santa was very good to my busted self.

My stupid Ninja warped so I have been making smoothies in my food processor.  While it definitely works, a weird feeling comes along with knowing I used the same thing the day before to mince up some garlic or onions.  To avoid smoothie cross-contamination, my beautiful parents got me this beautiful blender!

In sticking with the kitchen theme, I also got this fun new bowls:

I hate when things around the house are too matchy-I like each thing to have it’s own unique personality so these are so perfect since they are so colorful!

PartyDog knows how I love to have my lady friends over for excessive amounts of wine so he got me these super neat wine coasters from Etsy!

And don’t you worry, he got me a gigantic wine glass to try them out:

This picture does not do this thing justice-It doesn’t fit into my cabinets it’s so big so it just chills out on my kitchen counter.  Which is fine considering I need it every evening.

Another thing I got that I need every night:

Slippers bring me so much joy, you have no idea.

The most beautiful thing I got however was this:

How badly do you want that plate? It’s absolutely breathtaking.

This was all I had the motivation to take pictures of…. I was tired and just wanted to put everything away but I got a bunch more crap.  I also got a gift certificate for a massage, some clothes, a purse, some other gift cards and other miscellaneous things that I really love.  Needless to say I was spoiled rotten and had a gr8 Christmas!

A Number of Things

1. Remember that fabulous manicure Kim gave me that I told you about?  It’s no longer very fabulous…

I need to stop picking at my nails. It’s really not attractive.

2. My talented coworker drew this amazingly beautiful portrait of me:

I never realized just how pretty I am! I also never noticed how stylish my hair is….

3. A tiny new Greek restaurant opened around the corner from our apartment.  PartyDog and I went last night for dinner and it was totes bangin.

I hope this places never closes because it’s close, super tasty and seriously cheap. Our entire meal with drinks was $15.00. SCORE!

4.  As you know, I really suck at wrapping presents. I have no patience for it and I just hate it.  When I wasn’t able to throw a piece of tissue paper over a random paper bag I had lying around, I did happen to wrap my presents in the best paper ever:

My fam is going to love it.

5.  Overnight oats is definitely not something you want to eat the morning after hanging out with your lady friends. I learned this the hard way.

6.  It’s almost Christmas!

OMG how cute is my lil Willie? I cannot wait to see him!!

Oh Christmas Tree

In case you haven’t noticed, PartyDog rarely makes an appearance on this blog. For some reason unknown to me, the guy hates being in pictures. I know, weird right? When it comes to Christmas however, I can always bully him into taking a picture in-front of our Christmas tree together.

So, I told PartyDog I wanted a funny picture because I mean come on, we’re hilarious so it only makes sense.

And this is what happened.

Picture 1:  The longest arms in the entire world appear.

First of all, I tell PartyDog to do something funny and his default action is bunny ears? And secondly,  my arms quite possibly span the entire length of my apartment. Have you ever seen such weirdly long and gangly arms?

Picture 2: PartyDog likes to get down.

At this point, I told Max to do something better than bunny ears and this is what he comes up with.  I didn’t know the guy liked to get down.  Does he not look like he’s about to get low? He’s even got a little duck face going on.

Picture 3: Strongman always wins.

We’ve never looked better that’s for sure.

And this was my only option because PartyDog had HAD it at this point. Attempting to take a picture 3 times is his breaking point so between the 3 options I have, this last one will have to do.

Whatever PartyDog, this Christmas card will be way better anywayz:

Party Animals

So PartyDogUSA and I have a really exciting New Years Eve planned.  Instead of going out to a fancy dinner and dressing up, we are opting to stay inside, in our pj’s while I serve some classy smashed potato soup that I shall be making in the crockpot this afternoon.  PartyDogUSA will attempt to stay up until midnight while I am long gone on the couch until 11:55 when he will wake me up to watch the  ball drop and then we go to bed. It’s hard being party animals.

Since I’m still coughing every 5 seconds and blowing green stuff out of my nose (yum!) I will once again go to the gym and basically walk.  I’m not complaining (that much) I am happy to move even if it’s just really easy but man do I miss running.  And I’m seriously dying to run now that I got one of these bad boys for Christmas:

H O L L A.  I am officially BALLIN.  Now if the weather in Chicago would go back to being warm and I stopped producing green snot I could actually use my new running toy.  Until then I’ll just walk alongside the other people at the gym pretending to workout.
