Feeding Weekend
Monday, April 8th, 2013
Anyone else super sad the weekend is over? I had such a great girls weekend with my mom and am so sad she’s on her way back to MD now. We had so much delish food I feel like I need a detox after so much feeding. Here’s a taste of how we spent the weekend….
Had a super tasty lunch at my favorite Nordstrom Cafe:
Ate dinner at the fab Siena Tavern where PartyDog actually agreed to take a picture with me:
If you are a fan of Top Chef like my family is, you should know Siena Tavern is Fabio’s new restaurant! (FYI-It’s really good so you should go!)
Saturday Ma and I went to our favorite place in the world (Macy’s) where we naturally had to eat some Rick Bayless:
So damn good. Every single time. After stuffing our faces, we went and browsed a beautiful flower show Macy’s was hosting on the top floor. So pwetty!
I made some turkey burgers per Ma’s request for dinner that night and we relaxed the rest of the evening (except for the whole spending 2 hours in Macy’s looking for my phone I lost and never found).
The rest of the weekend, we shopped, ate and “ran into” my love Katie, who clearly stalks me. My mother insisted on taking a pic in Tj Maxx in front of the bras- could be our best picture together to date.
We also ate at RPM but that deserves it’s very own post.
Tell me about your weekend!
JT’s New BFF
Monday, December 31st, 2012
Whenever I go home, JT never fails to surprise me with his weirdness. I used to wonder where I got all my weirdness from until I realized it all came from this guy:
So, while I was home helping my Ma put Christmas pictures on her Facebook, I came across some pictures so incredibly beautiful/weird/creeper/amazing/hilarious that I had to steal them all to share with you.
Meet babydoll:
She goes with my dad everywhere. She helps him out at work:
Apparently she does a lot of filing there:
She also likes to break a sweat and goes to the gym with him:
And head to the sauna after a tough workout:
Being the nice babydoll she is, she helps my dad out around the house:
And knows when to keep quiet and just read:
Thankfully, she practices good hygiene:
And loves nothing more than soaking in the tub and going to bed.
But don’t worry, she’s always wakes up refreshed and ready to tackle a new day with JT:
Sometimes she even pitches in to help with gas and carpooling to work:
So thank you babydoll for keeping JT company while I’m away. He totes loves you!
That’s all the nonsense I have for now!
Find out anything weird about your family lately??
Worst Blogger Ever
Thursday, December 27th, 2012
Man, have I been a terrible blogger or what this week? Sadly, this post won’t be much of anything either. Good ole Mother Nature forced us to have to drive back to Chicago on Christmas day instead of the day after. After waking up, opening presents and eating a delish Christmas lunch my Ma made, PartyDog and I started our trek back to Chicago around 2:00. We got back a little after midnight and did nothing yesterday but eat and take multiple embarrassingly long naps.
Needless to say, I’m pretty out of it right now but will return in full force tomorrow with some Friday searches. Until then, here’s some snapshots of my time home (full recap of Christmas and JT coming soon…).
Went to my favorite used book store (Wonder Book and Video)!
Spent lots of time watching my little Willie be super bad.
Saw my Korean Gem.
Almost killed my dad for getting PartyDog an Avengers sword that he is going to drive me crazy with.
Took an actual decent picture with PartyDog.
Opened lots of prezzies.
One of which was this super flattering forever lazy:
Shows off all my curves AND is just the right length. Thanks fam!
That’s all the nonsense I have for now!
What’s your favorite part about Christmas?!
Thankful YO

I figured I would post my Thanksgiving nonsense today since nobody is going to be reading blogs tomorrow on the actual holiday sooo….. Happy Thanksgiving (tomorrow!) to all of my fabulous readers! I hope you know that I love each and every one of you and appreciate that you come back daily to read my busted blog.
This year especially, I am super thankful for everyone and everything. Moving to a new city, finding a job, friends and a way of life is difficult and I try to be thankful everyday that things have turned out well (knock on wood). I’m bummed I won’t be making it home to spend the holiday with my family but they know I miss them terribly and love them to the point of obsession.
So, I’m super thankful that I’ve made some really wonderful friends.
Like the type of friends that I can’t imagine my life without now.

I’m also thankful that I yet again have convinced PartyDog to continue to put up with my nonsense.
I’m beyond happy that I was able to spend some much needed time with my Korean Gem.
And I’m still in awe that I got to be apart of the promotion of an awesome race.
I got to run a few races despite being injured.
I finally got to see California.
And did even more traveling to Wisconsin for an all girls weekend.
And I’m so incredibly thankful that I got to spend lots of time with my family despite living halfway across the country from them.
(My mom doesn’t fancy being in pictures but obviously you know I love my Ma more than I love bread, wine and a cheese (which is hard)).
But what I’m most thankful for this year is the fact that lots of Harry Potter was involved!
Does life get any better?
But wait, it does! I forgot to say how thankful I am for Rick Bayless. He makes me so incredibly happy, especially since my jeans seem to keep getting tighter after each visit to one of his restaurants.
Happy Thanksgiving (tomorrow) friends! I love ya!
That’s all the nonsense I have for now!
What are you thankful for this year?
